Michael Collings - Britain's Got Talent

He is being hailed as this year's Susan Boyle.
And just one episode into this season of Britain's Got Talent, breakout act Michael Collings is already setting his sights on super-stardom.
The singer, who lives in a caravan park in Saltash, Cornwall with his parents, is planning to buy a house for his family and throw fiancée Sarah her dream wedding - but says he is shell-shocked by his sudden fame.
(Breakout star: Michael Collings shocked the audience with his haunting performance on Britain's Got Talent)
(Unimpressed: Judges Michael, Amanda and David were left stunned after initially appearing unimpressed by the 22-year-old's scruffy appearance )
The 22-year-old shocked judges Amanda Holden, David Hasselhoff and Michael McIntyre during Saturday night's episode with his haunting rendition of Tracey Chapman's Fast Car.

In a repeat of Boyle's 2009 audition, the judging panel looked less than impressed when Michael strolled onstage looking scruffy in tracksuit bottoms and a garish orange hoodie.
'He looks like he's going on a long-haul flight,' Amanda Holden remarked as Michael sat down with his guitar, to which McIntyre added: 'On Easy Jet.'
( Ambitious: Michael appeared on Daybreak this morning with fiancée Sarah and baby Jamie )
(Seasoned pro: The singer told Christine Bleakley that he was 'shocked' by the reaction but that he was prepared for what is ahead )
But the judges were immediately eating their words when Collings began his song, winning cheers and applause from the stunned audience within seconds of starting his performance.

Speaking to Daybreak this morning with fiancée Sarah and eight-week-old baby Jamie with him, the apprentice IT engineer said: 'It’s a big shock to my system to be honest – I definitely wasn’t expecting this… it’s been an amazing experience, it’s just amazing – I’m speechless to be honest.'
He continued: 'In a way I can’t really explain it because obviously I wasn’t expecting the crowd response. I was expecting a sort of crowd response, but obviously it was amazing to get that sort of response with the standing ovation and the cheering and things like that – I just wasn’t expecting it so it was just a shock to my system.'
Asked if he’s ready to deal with his new-found fame, Michael replied: 'I’m not like really ready. I’m prepared for obviously what’s to come, but I’m going to take it day by day and as it comes, so hopefully it will work out fine.'
He revealed that he had only ever played at his local pub in front of 40 people 'at my football presentation,' but auditioned after his parents encouraged him.
( Shell-shocked: His rendition of Tracey Chapman's Fast Car was greeted with cheers and a standing ovation from the audience )
( Supportive: Sarah was seen cheering her fiancé on from the audience on the show, and later said 'he is amazing' )
Michael is ambitious, and has revealed his plans to move out of the caravan site.
He told the Daily Star: 'I'm engaged to my girlfriend Sarah and we've just had a baby so it's really important for me to get us a home.'
'I split my time between the caravan site and Sarah's place in Plymouth.
'But I would love for us all to be together.'
Sarah, who was seen looking emotional as she cheered Michael on from the audience on the show, says: 'He is amazing, I’m so proud of him. I knew he could do it.'
